So sleepy...
Today I went to a specialist who looked up my nose and then referred me to another specialist (plus told me to get a CT scan).

There is something intrinsically odd about having a man seriously look up your nose.

Also, last night I was officially inducted into the Golden Key Honors society. Mum and I had sushi today to celebrate (on the way back from the man who looked up my nose)

I am incredibly tired.

Have finally hit that mental blank wall where further study is impossible.

Have done:
  • BIOL2191 speech (speech itself, handouts, slides, basically I'm ready to go)
  • PSYC2007 speech(speech itself, slides, just need group to send me stuff so I can make handout)
  • Set plans in motion so my PSYC2007 group oral is first to be presented
  • Finished PSYC2007 readings for last week
  • Half-wrote PSYC2007 summary for last week
  • BIOL1003 summary
  • BIOL1003 assignment (worked my brains out, only three questions I'm unsure on)

    To do:
  • Finish PSYC2007 summary for last week
  • BIOL2191 summary for obesity
  • Catch up on BIOL2191 lecture
  • BIOL2191 summary for reproductive health
  • Finish BIOL2191 readings for diabetes
  • PSYC2007 readings for last week and this week
  • Catch up on PSYC2007 lecture from today

For some reason, I've not got out of the work-myself-into-the-ground pattern of study I established a week before the midsemesters.

Tomorrow, a nice relaxing day with Snarfie :)

I am having a really amazingly wonderful night.

We just did a 3h 23m kara clear; there's still half a season of skins to watch; Ross is cooking dinner; and I just finished reading the first new shoebox in two years.

    Tonight is a good night.

    =)

    Now we're cooking with gas!

    ...

Sorry, I've just always wanted to say that.

So yesterday was mostly awesome with shit bits, and then dissolved into arrgh with no gas, and then bounded back into awesome as we watched several episodes of Skins, and then a lovely un interupted sleep.

    ---

Wow, I started typing that more than 12 hours ago. Guess I got a bit distracted.

Anyway, the house is freezing at the moment because I left the back door open for the dogs to wander out if they so choose. I should probably go and close it though, since I get the feeling they're curled up inside and it's making them just as cold as it's making me.

The gas man is coming this afternoon to hook us up, hooray! Ross will be able to cook tonight, and we'll be able to watch another 3/4 episodes of Skins.

I've entered a new phase of happy and relaxed lately.

Possibly it has something to do with having written my essay (I just need to proof it and format it properly, which I will do today), and possibly it has something to do with spending my days off relaxing and loafing about at home instead of actually doing folio day. I think I will do today's soon though, since it's actually kind of interesting. I might even do last weeks, while I have the camera out.

Yesterday's pinhole stuff went well, I'll resize some of them and post them (they're 450dpi at the moment, to allow for massive blowup and stuff, so probably a little overlarge for lj...).

Speak of the devil, the gas man just arrived! :) I'll be able to have hot soup for lunch.

    Today, I need to:
Do a folio day, and fucking folio day
    Put some socks on
Go and buy dog mince (order it first and ask them to divy it up into 1 kilo bags)
    Cook delicious soup
    Edit essay
Watch all the video footage from Digital and pull out the stuff I want to use
    Chill
Give Ross a kiss when he comes home.

I'm feeling much less unhinged today. :)

    Fuckfuckfuck

I was having such a good day, but now I find out that none of our gas appliances are connected anymore.

So we can't cook, and we have no hot water.

    Fuckfuckfuck.

Dad, who was meant to arrange the reconnection after it had to be disconnected to move the box, is in fucking Palou, and will not return for two weeks. I sent him an email.

    Fuckfuckfuck.

I am filled with a tired and kind of impotent rage - cranky at telstra for being fucking useless; cranky at myself for feeling so uneasy and stressed out when bedtime comes; cranky at ross for getting all paraniod and insisting on bringing home a baseball bat and hiding it in our cupboard (wtf, way to make me feel safe); cranky at stupid fucking PuG tanks who can't tank for shit; cranky at Ross for playing WoW instead of taking 5 minutes to do some stuff around the house; cranky at myself for playing WoW instead of taking 5 minutes to do stuff around the house; cranky at Hannah for being old and sick and over enthusiastic to the point where she hurts herself; cranky at Puku for not being able to comphrend that her mother is old and sick and not making allowances for her; cranky at the fact that I am probably going to have to make the final call about when my dog dies; cranky at the fact that that will be soon; cranky at this huge fucking run-on sentance.

    Fuck you, world.

I'm going to go have a bath and read marley and me and make myself feel even more like total shit, just because I can.

    Awesome Sauce
YAAAH! I finally did it - I finally updated my iPod's music. Three years overdue, this is.

As Vaughn is only 2 gig (who am I kidding, 'only', who needs more than 2 gig of song in their pocket!?), I hand-picked a selection of some of my recent favourites. Unfortunately, stuff that's been on my iPod for the past three years needed a break and to move over for new stuff (I still love you, Kamelot and the Pet Shop Boys! You'll be back soon!), but I'm bally proud.

I sorted the songs into "light", "medium", "heavy", "annoying" and "awesome sauce".

Is it telling that my 'heavy' playlist is 184 songs while my 'light' playlist is only 43? :P

Aaaaanyhoo, I strove to keep the awesome sauce list under 50 songs. Here it is, let's see if anyone shares my taste (keep in mind I'm missing Kamelot and Pet Shop Boys from this list). I suppose my favourite genre is industrial/electronica, with a splash of experimental.

    Updating Vaughn
Me - I have a long car trip coming up, and would like to contribute to the music played. My iPod's playlist hasn't been changed in over three years, I ought to update it.

    My iPod - Wot?

Me - Yes. I shall select what music I want and then put it on my iPod in one easy chunk.

    My iPod - Huh?

Me - *places selected 2 gigs of music in iTunes, goes away for an hour*

    My iPod - Lol.

Me - (an hour later) Oi! You say you're finished, but you have practically none of the music on you

    My iPod - Yep.

    Me - *glare*

    My iPod - Heh heh.

Me - *sigh... drags each song individually onto iPod playlist*

My iPod - that's more like it!

    Grrr.
